In collaboration with Rockfield, the OGA is offering approximately 30 places on a geomechanics training course. The places are being offered at no cost to participants and priority will be given to individuals who are currently actively working on UKCS petroleum and/or carbon storage licences and assets.
The training course will be focused on the mechanical properties of geo-materials commonly found in the UKCS. This will provide a detailed understanding of both the behaviour of these materials caused by operational activities, including pressure depletion and CO2 injection, and the importance of reservoir geomechanics.
The course will be run via Microsoft TEAMS and will take place over 6 half-day sessions over 14th,16th 18th and 21st, 23rd and 25th June. The training schedule can be found here.
To register your interest in participating in the training course, please complete this online form by 5pm, Friday 28th May.
