On 22 August 2017, the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) and the Oil and Gas Technology Centre (OGTC) will jointly host a Technology Forum at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC). This event will focus on how technology can help unlock future oil and gas developments in the upcoming 30th Offshore Licensing Round.
Registration is now closed for the event as it is fully subscribed. Places have been limited to ensure as many organisations as possible are represented.
The uptake for the event has been very high with attendees registering from oil and gas operators, service providers and technology companies, keen to hear from technology specialists and industry experts - as well as participating in the discussion and networking opportunities on the day.
35 exhibitors from major service providers to SMEs, including PGS, Baker Hughes, a GE company, Amplus and Western Geco, will showcase their innovative solutions, expertise and insights in the technology arena.
Gunther Newcombe, OGA Operations Director is encouraged by the huge uptake saying: “It’s great to see so many people coming to the conference which clearly demonstrates the high interest and importance the role of technology plays in assisting exploration and field development.”
Chris Pearson, OGTC Small Pools Solution Centre Manager, added: “The Technology Forum is a great opportunity to find out about the latest solutions that can help unlock marginal fields in the UKCS. Technology will play a key role in the success of the 30th Licensing Round and the uptake for places at the event is very positive.”
Presentations will be available on the OGA and OGTC websites following the event. Individuals can continue to register for the waiting list online.
