The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) granted a Development and Production Consent for the Belinda oil and gas field in the Central North Sea on 17th May 2024, which allows the owner to proceed with the project.
An NSTA spokesperson said:
“The North Sea Transition Authority has granted a Development and Production Consent for the Belinda field. The project will support the UK’s energy production and make use of existing infrastructure to minimise emissions. It will also create jobs and provide investment in the supply chain.”
